Re: Android running on US Cellular data service **Solved for most***
The new builds should have this fixed. Make sure to add "force_cdma=1" to the cmdline in your startup.txt

Re: Android running on US Cellular data service **Solved for most***
For some reason I can do everything, surf, talk, receive SMS, but can't send SMS. Any ideas? I tired the fake APN, but that didn't help either.

Re: Android running on US Cellular data service **Solved for most***
Go to your apn's add a new apn like this.
Name: Anything you want Apn: cellular1wap after doing this your data should be up and running. |

Re: Android running on US Cellular data service **Solved for most***
alright, not sure if this is fixed or not, but i've been combing through all the search results here, and on xda. i have yet to find a solid US Cellular fix.
i have tried EVERY option given in this thread from syntax, cliff, and eval and haven't been successful with any attempt. i have no idea how many times i've rebooted my phone. BUT i now have mms working where i can SEND MMS messages, but not receive - and i NEED to be able to receive MMS. after trying the .sh files i was ready to give up until i tried a combination of things and went into winmo to get the APN address listed there and it showed "U.S. Cellular" as the name and "internet" as the actual APN, i then went: Settings>Wireless & Networks>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names: Name: U.S. Cellular APN: internet Proxy: <not set> Port 80 Username: MSID@mms.uscc.net (i only used this since it's the address i send images to from my email for work) Password: MSID Server: <not set> MMSC: http://mmsc1.uscc.net/mmsc/MMS MMS Proxy: <not set> MMS port: 80 MCC: 310 MNC: 995 Authentication Type: PAP or CHAP APN Type: <not set> now i'm not sure if this helps anyone at all, and i have no idea if this issue has been solved, but please someone help me out here and point me in the right direction if it has been solved or what changes i need to make to get this to actually work |

Re: Android running on US Cellular data service **Solved for most***
alright, now every time i send out a picture message or MMS message it reaches the intended recipient without a problem, however with the settings i mentioned before:
Quote:
Error: Wap Encoding Error" then when i change the Username in my APN settings to "MSID@uscc.net" i can send myself an email to that same address, "myphonenumber@mms.uscc.net" and never receive an email - though i can see the 3G indicator change and act as though there is something incoming. do you think i should change the MMSC setting to "http://mmscknxv1.uscc.net/mmsc/MMS" since that's the return address i got in that email? |
