Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2
I've tried to look through to see if anyone has similar issues but I couldn't find it. My apologies if I missed something simple....
I downloaded from flyers link (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...1&postcount=69) and installed in root of my SD card. There are tons of STARTUP.TXT files though with no indication of which one is for Touch Pro2 (Verizon) The one I have I think from reading this thread is --------------------- set RAMSIZE 0x6000000 set RAMADDR 0x10000000 set mtype 2292 set KERNEL zImage set initrd initrd.gz #pwf dm.txt 0x8e0000 0x20000 set cmdline "msmvkeyb_toggle=off gsensor_axis=2,1,3 lcd.density=240 htc_hw.force_cdma=1 physkeyboard=rhod400" boot ------------- So it goes through the text part of haret fine, I click on the calibration boxes and then the phone just seems to stall on continually playing the blue, green, red & yellow X animation. I'm on my second try after restarting from a clean wipe of the Android files on the SD card. ANY ideas? I really want to try Android out and download some of the great apps to my phone! I already got the dual boot program ready to go!!!!!! Thanks for any and all help!!!! |
Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2
had the same issues and no one could help so i started looking around for tge problem and the only thing different with civics build which worked for everyone is one line in the startup text i changed it and since then its worked great not saying it will work for sure but worth a try
set RAMSIZE 0x6000000 change that so its 0x10000000 make sure its exactly the same for both |

The first time you boot it could take a while (2 to 3 solid minutes or more). |
Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2
Apparently battery died and wouldn't recharge in 'android enabling' mode. Took out SD card and hit reset button multiple times before I could charge again and at least get WinMo back! Company is here will try again later with that one suggestion. Thanks!!!!

Read the 1st post of this thread and read the links in my sig. If everyone would just do a little searching and reading before posting, this thread woldn't be over 100 pages long the same questions asked over and over. |
