While this is true, I've already resigned myself to the fact that I'm going to have to change plans. Even though it's twice the price ($60), it's still a far better deal than any other competitor. Plus I'm in Charlotte so we have wimax so the Supersonic will bring a speedy Android phone in more ways than one. I just need something to tide me over till it gets here.

Made a small donation and will probably donate more as progress is made. Would love to have a functional build for everyday use. Keep up the good work!

Just a heads up, get rid of WEP encryption. Use something else.
WEP keys are VERY easy to crack.

back on subject:
This didn't boot on my phone though, could have gotten corrupted in download though, going to try it again later tonight when I get home.

I imagine people are using WEP because they have old bridges/xboxes/tivos/etc that don't speak WPA, and they don't want to leave their Wifi completely open. It's the same thing as me locking the French doors at the front of my house when I go out -- if someone wants to get in, it won't stop them, but it at least keeps the honest people honest. (It does me, anyway -- if I'm out and about, and see an open wifi network, I will jump on it if I need to access something. But, as wide open as WEP is, I'm not going to hack it, even knowing that I could without much effort.)

The first google result for 'WEP nexus one' has a good suggestion, though. Dump the WEP, and just use MAC address filtering.

Some may say that using WEP is close to having your connection open anyway!

I switched mine to WPA2/AES, works great - I'd suggest you do the same unless you have some sort of device dependency on WEP. I'm just not sure if WEP connectivity is (or should be) on a fix list for this project, especially when it we've got a very simple workaround that we can handle ourselves. Not saying that it won't happen, but I wouldn't hold my breath - especially when there is stuff like CDMA data and GPS pending.

Ya, it works fine for me. Make sure you use the wvga 1.0.5 storage card cab.

it really is kind of point less, winmo still boots fully, it just immediately goes to android after winmo is done. Just create a shortcut and use that, and you will have one less then that runs when you are rebooting to winmo

Re: [2/27/2010] Google Android for TP2 CDMA [In Dev]

Ok, @ LiquidX with your comment about the clock thing.

I have read in the past that Android and Windows Mobile do not save your clock information the same way on the phone. Therefore, some times when switching between the two, you will you will have your clock look off, it doesn't always happen, but sometimes.

Also, @ all the people saying that there are already other CDMA Android phones

The other phones may be on CDMA, yes, but they were originally built with the intentions of running Android. There are proper drivers for them, the hardware is put together in a way that will support the best Android experience. Touch Pro 2 has different hardware than phones such as the Hero or the Droid. Its almost like saying "If I take a Touch Pro 2 Rom, and Flash it on my Mogul, its the same thing." It just doesn't work, the hardware is different. The drivers are different, and the way the phone works on the inside is different.

With the whole WEP issue, you could always have a MAC authorization as mentioned above, that way, you know your devices are allowed to talk and you don't have to worry about your WEP being essentially unprotected.
