Based on what makes the most sense to me, I would suggest that the "AndroidOnHTC" wiki be the central place for everything Android on all HTC devices. It seems to be the most logical central storage for all information regarding status, FAQ's, guide's, how-to's, and everything else.

If you wouldn't mind makkonen, could you actually include links to all existing Android for TP2 related resources for everyone following this thread. I would like to see where everything stands and maybe help in the efforts of consolidating all the fragmented information.

And finally, as for hosting, I am more than willing to offer up any additional storage space I have for hosting compiled builds (I've got probably close to a TB at this point just sitting out there in cyberspace). This goes not only for the CDMA TP2, but ALL Android builds for every HTC device. I am even willing to pay for a domain name if it helps, although it would be just as easy if whoever is controlling "androidonhtc.com" could just provide me with a subdomain such as "builds.androidonhtc.com" or "files.androidonhtc.com" for nice pretty linking purposes.

It would be nice to see things get more organized, and with all the help being offered, it should be possible to coordinate something. If each person who offered up help just took a small chunk of the total responsibility (such as updating just 1 page of a wiki), things could be improved really quickly.

Anyways, hopefully we hear something back from those working on this port soon.
OK, list of resources. I might forget some. A lot of this is just repeating stuff I put up in the wave... and I'll include a bunch of stuff that's not TP2-specific, because there's a great deal of overlap with the raphael and diamond (less so with the vogue/kaiser/polaris, but I'll mention those too). And awaaaaay we go:

Forums
Linux on Diamond thread from xda-developers. Big and unusable thread. Raph/Diam-centric, probably not much use to you.
XDANDROID thread. Much newer, still big and unusable. System-specific talk, ostensibly gsm raph/diam-centric, but applies to Rhod/Topa as well.
Android on DIAM500 and Android on RAPH800 -- Places where people are keeping up with CDMA developments. Remains to be seen how much overlap that has with the MSM7600 CDMA implementation.
95-Civic's corresponding thread on xda-devs.
Connect-UTB forum on Android porting. Not sure if there's anything Rhodium-specific here, but there's threads on a few other platforms -- and there are people who hang out over there instead of here, so something might slip through the cracks.
XDA-Devs Touch CDMA subforum. A place for info on the Vogue Android port, which is much further along. There's an Android development forum and the general forum, both have Android-centric discussion. There might also be discussion in the kaiser forums, but I haven't looked there.

Wikis
Raphael Linux on xda-devs wiki, Rhodium Android on xda-devs wiki, Raphael Donut on xda-devs wiki, Raphael Eclair on xda-devs wiki. These pages get created and then they don't change a whole lot, but there's a bunch of good information in them.
Android HTC wiki on sourceforge. Where to get files for the Vogue/Polaris/Kaiser. Probably not of much use here. Could be useful to other devices in that they've worked out some of the bugs of running GSM software for a Sprint CDMA device. And, for future consideration, they've gotten NAND flashing (i.e. replacing WinMo entirely) working.
HTC-Linux wiki. Low-level info for developers (GPIOs, Memory maps, HaRET info).
Android on HTC wiki. Once again, I don't know how much attention this has ever gotten -- seems pretty sparsely filled to me.

Other
Bug tracker for the linux-msm kernel. Self explanatory. Don't know how many are submitting there, though.
Android on HTC Wave. RAPH800-heavy, since I put it together, but has notes on how to get a build environment together. A month and a half ago, I'd say it should be the clearinghouse for information, but at this point I'm sick of its bugs and its lagginess.
#htc-linux on freenode and the #htc-linux logs -- the real place where the developers congregate. Unfortunately, it's IRC, so it's real time and necessarily disorganized, with a low signal to noise ratio.

Now, most of this is not specific to the Touch Pro 2, much less the CDMA Touch Pro 2. But... it's all pieces of the same picture. As for trying to put everything together and get everyone in one place... it'd take a sturdier sort than me to even contemplate it. The Android on HTC wiki is as good a place as any, but the real value comes in having everyone contributing; and getting everyone on the same page is tough. (Haha. Wordplay.)

Re: [1/25/2010] Google Android for TP2 CDMA [In Dev]

Has development on this kinda haulted..??? Seemed it was something new every few days at first, now we're going on a month w/o any big updates..?? I think the list of features not working is what keeps people from trying it out more. I gave it a whirl and it was kinda boring so hopefully next update is a good one...

It seems the thread has gotten off-topic that it is now about collaboration boards. Collaboration boards are great, maybe so great we should open a new thread to talk about them and let this one get back to updates about the actuall thing thats supposed to be collaborated on. And enough with the posts like "This is great, can't wait". Theres like 400 of those.. What would be great is an actual update from the guy..

Civic, what would be a good motivating number to continue development at a bit more rapid of a pace? I know I am willing to pledge at least $40 and I am sure we can get a few other pledges in the thread. I think you should be paid for your work if it becomes fruitful...

Well, that's not really a fair statement. The reality is: we have Civic - so far - going practically alone at CDMA Rhod Android dev. With limited resources and time, we can't expect rapid development. Makkonen, and others, have simply provided links to resources so that (hopefully) WE can begin to contribute instead of posting "are we there yet?" messages. It's not really fair to simply demand updates from one dude - this thread is a good a place as any to spread knowledge about Android dev and support resources.

Re: [1/25/2010] Google Android for TP2 CDMA [In Dev]

I am not posting this to bitch, I promise! But just noting a comment. I don't think Civic is in it for the money. He has a life, he works hard, probably has a family as well. He is doing it for the accomplishment of doing it. It is wonderful that some of the big guys froma the Touch Pro that have accomplished so much are coming over to help as well. I really feel things will start taking off. But Civic already mentioned that he is working on it as he can, in between his real job etc. I know lots are impatient, I want it as well after getting my wife a Hero and seeing how cool Android is! But you can't push what isn't capable of being pushed. If you want to donate, then donate, I did! But I didn't expect anything more out of it. Just wanted to do it to thank him for picking up where others haven't! But don't make it a promise if he quits his real life job and dedicates his life to working only on this for $40 here, $20 there etc heh. It, and I may be wrong, just going by my own life here heh, honestly can't make a difference heh. I won't quit my job to work on a hobby heh.

Basically just wanted to comment, that it is gonna happen guys, we just need to find some patience, I am the worse at it, ask my kids heh. But don't donate to someone just for a final product, I know a lot of you are probably younger and don't understand the full responsibility of a full time job to put food on the table for your family etc, so it is easy to ask for things and expect them to take hold heh. But in the real world, jobs especially today are hard to come by and you have to put that first to make sure your family is secure and fed. And then coming back to do side things that you enjoy comes second. So try and respect that and lets just work together like a lot of you are doing and trying to organize the development etc. Hopefully in time we can get the work put in the main kernels that are out there, I am sure that is the end goal anyways is to have a streamlined kernel that works with multiple phones etc. That way everyone can contribute to just making the Android experience better.

Again, I don't want want this post to come off as a flame, I just wanted to shed light on how I am sure from what Civic has posted a few times already on how real life works and how it MUST come first as much as we all wish it didn't have to heh. And not all of us have weekends etc, we just find free time as we can heh. I do miss the earlier days believe me.

Thanks for the long and boring read! Let's hope for the best on moving forward. I am very excited to see some of the other guys that helped to contribute to the original TP join in and I have no doubt things will just get better!

I agree with above statement, but you know what? I am really surprised Google hasn't joined in on some of the porting work. I mean seriously, they obviously have the resources to pursue it, they would be able to make it more public, would look great on their part for helping out the community. And not to mention, they could make money off of selling programs to us on the marketplace, so there is their incentive. Plus how big a smack in the face to ms would it be to showcase number of downloads of people converting their winmo phones to android?
