I also think it would be helpful to include the link directly to the TP2 page in the first post of this thread.

Actually... it's not. But I am encouraging its use because it just makes good sense for something like this.

Thanks for the updates! If everyone just did a little update here and there it is amazing what you can accomplish. It just helps everyone in the end.

Ive searched the entire phone and download content for data.img but cant find it. Can some one help me with the installation procedure please. thanks alot

1) Delete existing android files (ensure data.img is deleted)

The delete data.img is if you were running PREVIOUS Android builds and had it on your SD card already.

Best instructions are to:
1) Download the package provided in the first post
2) Unzip/unrar/expand the file
3) Create a folder on your SD card called "Android" (this should be at the top level of the SD card, not within other folders)
4) Copy all of the files and folders that you expanded from the download to the "Android" folder on your SD card.
5) Call your voicemail or dial your house number or something (so that the phone is active while you boot Android). Leave this call going while you complete the next step
6) Switch to the file explorer and click on "haret.exe" within the "Android" folder on your SD card
7) The screen will go through a whole bunch of text lines (you may notice a couple lines that say "CDMA phone found" and "Creating a new Data store"). All good things to see.
8 ) Wait some more and you'll see an "X" animation on the screen. You are almost there!
9) Android finally loads, and presents an initial startup sequence. Since wifi is working, you can setup the google account on your first bootup, or if you don't have wifi around, simply "skip" the account creation and continue to the home screen of Android.
10) Note, when prompted for home or home++, this is simply a choice between the default home screen and an advanced home++ home screen. Start with home (because you can get live wallpapers to work!)
11) To activate the CDMA phone network, you will most likely need to go to "Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > Network operators" and then once it completes the search, select "Select automatically". Click back several times to get out of the settings, and test making a call. All should work.
12) The rest I leave up to you! Explore and have fun! Please be advised not everything is working (in fact, many important things do not work). Check the first post in this thread to see what should be working.

Hope this helps out those out there wanting to try this out.

*Final note*: Just for those who are wondering, this does NOT impact anything on your Windows Mobile install. It simply dumps WM from memory, loads linux, and runs off your SD card. Reseting from Android simply returns you back to your WM environment safe and sound. So feel free to try this out knowing you won't harm your phone or WM data in any way!

**Disclaimer**: I take no responsibility if you somehow break your phone through some bizarre act like getting so excited you drop your phone in the toilet!

Ok, I flashed it to the stock sprint rom and I am still having the same problem about not getting wifi to work.

What I've noticed is that when I do a fresh format and load the files onto the SD card, android will say "unable to scan for networks" twice. Then if I turn off/turn on the wifi, it will say "scanning" indefinitely and never give a network (i have multiple wifi networks around me).

Anyone have any suggestions? I've tried everything I can think of including 3 different SD cards, changing winmo wifi settings, providing my mac address in startup.txt, reflashing three different winmo custom roms, and changing android wifi settings. I'm about to give up on this which makes me sad. ](*,)

Edit: I also get a few Process com.android.phone is not responding messages but I just hit wait and it goes away. Not sure if this is normal.

just a suggestion, but have you guys considered taking the android that is running on the moment, or the droid and basing the cdma version off of it considering those phones are already using cdma

Same thing for me. I get a message. "SIM card does not allow a connection to this network" when I hit select automatically.

Will continue to troubleshoot.

TP2 Sprint....

Cool, very fun to play with. Looking forward to more development. I have a TP2 and a Samsung Moment and also have access to a Hero. Send me a PM if there is anything I can do to help.

for all those that cannot get wifi to work, what type of security are you using on your network? I was using WEP and I could not connect. Then I turned off security and was able to connect. I then switched to WPA2 and tried that and was able to connect.

Try a bunch of different securities for your home network to find one that works for you.
