Re: [1/25/2010] Google Android for TP2 CDMA [In Dev]
Fresh Edit..
Ok finally read around the post lol. The one thing I seam to have discovered is the 16G microsd does not work initially as a boot card (maybe with my other stuff on there, maybe not.) But after installing it onto a fresh 2G, initial boot, then copying over to the 16G it then continued to work like a charm. (I believe my 16G is a Class 4). Everything else seams to work as mentioned. Call VM to get speaker, Screen Rotates with Stylus, etc. The one thing I did notice is I could not control voicemail with the dial pad. I could call it but not register any commands to listen to old voicemails. Still an amazing achievement and look forward to the next update. Once Speaker, Data, and SMS are working It would be fun to show to others who think their Android Phone is just WAAAY better.. Hey Look I can run BOTH! Mwhahahaha! Also just saw a few videos on youtube of the GSM version of the Android port... One thing I would really like is those Live Wallpapers. Way too nifty lol. Especially with the panoramic style when you go to one side or the other. |

Just kidding around, but I also check this thread VERY frequently |
Re: [1/25/2010] Google Android for TP2 CDMA [In Dev]
I am also keeping my eye closely on this thread! The thing that I find completely unacceptable is that the stickied thread hasnt updated since it was stickied....yet this one has been updating and has yet to be stickied! What is the point of a stickied thread with old information!?!?!

Great project! One thing though. This could be me, but I noticed that my screen does not turn all the way off when I press the power button. The screen goes black, but I can tell that it is still on.

If I had to guess, and this is a complete guess, this is a hardware initialization issue, since currently android is using windows boot to intialize the hardware before loading android I would presume that the drivers have not bee discovered which would allow the developers to enable/disable the screen. |
