It looks to me like it is having an issue with your SD card.
It says that it fails to mount the card. So I would try another card.
Also its not reporting a high speed SDHC card when it discovers it.
A high speed card is REALLY needed for any sort of usability.

Yes, it will drain a good amount of battery seeing as the screen is on @ 100% brightness and you cannot turn off the screen. The back light is what eats up a ton of battery power on any device.
