Re: Android, it's alive!.. (2.0.1) - Updated 12/24
Ok, I am ready to try this out but I don't know what the heck I am doing. First off, there is no real quick guide on how to set this up. It isn't like a flash. I followed some links and installed some files to my storage card but the haret file comes up with the error "Please set start of ram (RAMADDR)" WTF is this? I was trying to write a dumby's guide on how to install this but I failed at the first step. The Wiki seems to be little help as well. Can somebody please walk me through this and tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks.
EDIT: By the way I deleted all of my old data on my SD card. I am on the new Energy Rom 6.5/ 2.5 if that makes any difference. I don't know how to partition the SD card either. EDIT: I guess I wasn't reading the right threads. I was under the impression that the calls were working. I guess not. I did get the Android OS to work and I compared it next to my fiance's Droid and it looked good. Here is a little nooby guide I created to help us total noobs. If you have questions refer to this thread for help. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=616483 1. Disable Backlight on Windows Mobile. 2. Clear SD card of all contents 3. Download http://www.megaupload.com/?d=H9DRV3DS . a. Create “Android” folder in SD card and copy all folders to this file. b. Delete Data.file i. All file folders and files on SD card that state DATA. c. Delete Android apps Folder d. Delete zImage file and replace with this Zip file on #2 post. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=616483 4. Run Haret 5. If you have a Verizon TP2 and it comes in a foreign language, you press the bottom right button to change the language settings. After this you are on your own. It doesn’t make calls or have data but you can kind of play around with it. Those of you that are too scared that you will lose all of your data on your Windows OS it won’t. Just hit the reset button and you are back to your Windows OS. |
