but even then its still comparatively slow even on devices where the rom resides in nand memory...it runs just about the same as storage card

I think it's amazing how fast the builds are progressing. Nice to be able to use the keyboard and hardware buttons now. But with no data at the very least it's only fun to play around with for about 5 minutes. I've got my fingers crossed that CDMA data is next followed by voice/sms.

It's not running on top of Windows. It's "Bootstrapping" through Windows.

But the device flash memory may be faster than many SD Cards.

So programs etc. may load quicker etc. if it was flashed.

Once an app is loaded and running it won't run much different. But anytime it references the boot volume it depends on it's speed.

Yes. I also do hope that CDMA DATA comes before voice.

There will be a new upload soon. I'm waiting on vicbush to implement Markinus' changes. This build should enable Wi-fi. I'll also throw in The Machinist's calibration, as long as it's better. If anyone else wants to take a whack at an even better calibration, feel free

Looks like vicbush latest zImage is available but when I use it with the 2.01 build here I can't get any Sprint service- the screen now turns off though. Wish I knew what I was doing!

Pretty much everyone in this thread is using a CDMA device (Sprint and Verizon are both CDMA).

voice already works. they just need to figure out how to keep the mic/speaker working without having to have it initialized during bootup.

This is amazing.

My hat is off to all the devs working on this project.

I can't wait to get this working with CDMA voice and data!

Thanks guys, you all make owning a TP2 interseting!
