$30 Data + $30 for 500 Mins. I think it was $59.99 for a no contract SIM card. I'll pay that for like 2 or 3 months.

After that dual boot thing, I really am itching to try out android on the TP2. Can someone link me to the latest build for android on a Sprint TP2??? Much thanks and appreciation!

And also if someone can show me where to find the latest builds are being posted generally (that way I can keep it up with it myself)

Just wanted to clear a few things up...In my most recent build on XDA the mic works w/o loading harret the speak is still not working unless you make a call in harret. I apologize for the slow progress but it's just me on the CDMA side. I will try to keep both PPC and XDA update when I post future builds.

BTW, thanks for all of the PMs over on XDA from you guys trying to get me to move over here to PPC :).

Okay guys i finally got the Android to work using civics build. After the 10-12 minute or so initial boot. The most recent boot time was 2 mins and 18 seconds!!! Thats pretty darn quick for somethinge thats booting from a 2gb sd card!!! WOW I'm impressed Civic....very impressed. Now if we can just get it fully functioning this would clearly be the best phone on the market bar NONE. The dual boot is fantastic! The power off buttun works within Android so all u do is turn your phone off, turn it back on and tell it to boot into windows. Simply awesome!!

Sorry for the noob question, but once I launch XDANDROID, I get to the "Slide keyboard open to continue." and it doesn't recognize when I open the keyboard. Any simple workaround?

Edit: nevermind, got past it somehow...SMS doesn't work, sadly.

heres the thing with 95-civics latest build.
-non of the applications work.
-screen dosent really dim it just idles in dark tint
-screen rotation still on odd stylus input
-still have to initiate a call in WinMo before speaker and Mic work together
-did i mention most of the apps fail to launch?

Ive since booted up the gsm 1/07/10 XDAndroid build on (S)TP2 and all applications i.e twitdroid, andoird market launch fine.

i now see why the OP hasnt been updated. the 1/07 build can get voice and data working but still not fully there in performance or features yet

Does it work for the Sprint Touch Pro 2? It sounds like its for GSM phones and not cdma. Can we get a link please?

it works finw for cdma phones as long as u are sim unlocked, i have an att and tmobile card and I go back and forth between the two, I am using the jan 7th build and market works you can sync google contacts and calendar, only thing i would need to work is sound and then i could use it on a daily basis, I posted a you tube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViI5mufv7rA

WOW, yours is laggy. I have Verizon and although the data doesn't work on it, the applications and home page work way quicker. The home screen works almost flawlessly with 95civics current build. Is that lag because of the GSM build? Or does it do that just because of the data? Hopefully 95Civic's new build with data doesn't lag, whenever he gets the data to work.
EDIT: supposed to have quote from Gharris

Ok, just read through the threads, and I'm a bit confused. So, Civic's build is for CDMA, and will work with Sprint, using Sprint Towers. I also am reading how people are using sim-unlocked CDMA TP2's on AT&T networks. Are they using Civic's CDMA build, or a different GSM-Android Port on a CDMA TP2?

i have a question, i have civics build and it launches and the apps open (of course there is no data) but has anyone had success getting the sound to work? I have zero sound. Ive tried to leave the sound on in winmo then reboot into Android and it still doesnt work. I've also tried to locate all the sound options within Android and i still can get sound. Can anybody help?

Pretty sure they are using a GSM port of Android to have working data as long as you are sim unlocked.....

I don't know if this would help, but I thought it might be of note considering the Droid Eris is a CDMA device, and would also include the Sense UI for Android but I saw this post on XDA.

Thread number is 626588. I can't post links yet, sorry.

To use a GSM Sim Card, we are using a GSM port. Click this link for detailed instructions on how to use a GSM SIM Card.

I also keep testing out Civic's using another microSD card. I want Civic's build the most!

Hope this helps!
