lol, no promises as to 'when', but yes. Pretty short list of fixes too, anyone chime in if they think there's something else that's easily fixed that needs to be put into the next build. My list is as follows:
  • New firmware for wifi, fixes tethering (among other things?)
  • MMS fixes from hyc. Seems we got a few, but not all of them... Sprint-only!
  • Camcorder patch from detule. Fixes video recording.
  • Of course, netloc if I can figure it out
  • Gotta talk to detule, I think there was some work they were doing on the RIL. Not sure where it left off/if they have it resolved. It seems detule at least has a way to mitigate some issues people were experiencing. AFAIK it's a GSM-only fix...
Anything else?

No, I never deleted data.img, I just renamed data.img when I first got the first endless loop, then tried the fresh data.img experiments. So I still have my data.img from just after the FRX07.1 netloc APK install. Anything I can change in the data.img file system to undo the FRX07.1 netloc APK install?

Re: [TESTING] XDAndroid GBX0B 2.3.7 Build

Maybe the http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/android-tp...a-support.html
could be added in, or is that to far into testing still?

Rename your data.img again. Make it create a new one. Heck, delete it. Not like there's anything on that data.img, it bootlooped from the getgo.

Ah right. I bet this is ready to go in. I'll definitely confirm with detule before doing anything crazy.

Sorry, I am not explaining it clearly. I had a good data.img that I had been using for several days. I installed the FRX07.1 netloc APK while booted into this good data.img. I rebooted and then got stuck in a boot loop. I then backed up this data.img. So this data.img has a lot on it, and I'd like to recover it, if possible.

Oh... You can try the fix_permissions script, but I'm not sure that would save you at this point. I really don't know how to determine what is hosed in the data.img...

With that said, you can take the data.img and pull your APK's out if you didn't have a backup with TitaniumBackup.

Re: [TESTING] XDAndroid GBX0B 2.3.7 Build

Arrrghhh, any chance of taking a look to see why the "new" market, google play, doesn't seem to like the phones? IIRC it's something that needs to be hacked in the build.prop, but you know me, I'm not the one to start hacking around, who knows what damage I can do lol

What's wrong with google play? (It's been on my phone for a while but other than installing apps I haven't used whatever other functionality they may have bundled with it)

There's a bunch of apps that are not compatible with our devices, according to google play and even previously market. They're fine if you can find them on Amazon, but something is telling google that their not compatible. If you use TB it's fine to backup but if there are updates you can't always get them. An example is Infinity from Comcast, I have an older version which I reload using TB, but if I try to get the latest update play will tell me it's not compatible with our devices.

Quite possibly because they updated the app, and it's not compatible.

IIRC, you can change the lcd.density setting and this determines what apps are shown/compatible. I'll try to find more info on it.
