I may have to chime in on this too. I had SoD several times, but I am in a weak signal area...

Re: [TESTING] - NAND OMGB (1.2.3)

Hi i am testing this new kernel, the light led turn of YEAHHHHHHHH....!!

In a 3 hours i have 50% battery, only using whastapp and push email, some sms, some calls, umm.. something is wrong with my data service, it show me 3G icon but gray color, and i dont have data transfer, but i think is something with my carrier in this moment, i will try tomorrow again, i had tested this rom before and i have data service without problems (i'm CDMA user).

I am using CPU Master, 710Mhz max and 245Mhz min.

The wifi turn off when the screen turn off why? this is a big problem in android roms

Tomorrow tell you more about that..!!

Right now the driver i put out is somewhat conservative when it comes to charge. We can make it really aggressive to squeeze the most juice out, but i noticed that has some drawbacks that people may not be willing to put up with.

For example i'm setting level 0 to 3550mV. Now ive seen my rhod run on lower voltage, we may be able to squeeze more out of the batt over time. The sad part is that no matter how much i try, the discharge rate is higher than winmo. Meaning we really burn up more battery at any point in time. I'm sure there is some hardware im not turning off, so the hunt will begin for that soon.

The goal if the first round test is just to test the over all life of a fully charged batt. If its better than before, then we continue with the research. Hope all goes well.
idk what you guys have been doing. i easily get 14 hrs on my phone normal texting and data usage, max i get about 20 hrs. about same as winmo. if i remember right averaged 15-16 hrs normal and 22 hrs max on winmo (heavy usage about 4 hrs btw).
this is how....
i use arrrghhh's [[Speed Improvements]] Brainstorming & Testing Thread!!, Autostarts app from market to keep apps from running whenever they want, and setcpu to throttle when needed, and Battery Calibration. oh yeah turn off background data stuff, unless you must have "FB" update you, geez lol.

i get way more time on my phone than any other friend who uses their "android" phone stock or rooted. unless they do the same routine as above then they kill my dinosaur phone.

thank you [ACL] for your efforts you are god sent for my TP2 - arrrghhh too!

1) GetLogs works on OMGB, make sure you have the newest version, it fixed some bugs.
2) GetLogs won't pull logs from a SoD, it only pulls logs from the current boot.

Re: [TESTING] - NAND OMGB (1.2.3)

I had another 3 SoDs tonight, so I had to roll back off the test update.
But never give up. Never surrender.

Here is last_kmsg. Now I had SoD (phone was completely freeze). In this state was probably about one hour and during this my battery drain 30% of power.

Re: [TESTING] - NAND OMGB (1.2.3)

Last night I left my phone to discharge completely and started charging with the phone off. This morning I disconnected (green led), booted into recovery, erased battery stats and rebooted again. My battery charge was 88%. Is that normal?

Between 6:20 a.m. and 7:12 am charge has dropped 8%, phone completely idle.

I'm posting logs hoping that you can find the source of the battery drain.

Update: I connected via USB to transfer the logs to the computer. I look at my battery meter and noticed that it jumped form 80% to 98% and it's been charging for about 10 minutes.

Update 2: 5 minutes have passed and it dropped down to 82%.

Re: [TESTING] - NAND OMGB (1.2.3)

What is the pattern of SODs everyone is seeing. For me it occurred in bunches and then it was fine for hours (why I thought at first I was doing something wrong as I was tweaking different things).
