Not sure why it didn't for you ACL, but I used Maps, got a GPS lock, then hit end (which I have remapped to home), and hit the power button... didn't manually disable GPS at all, and within a few seconds I got a solid green LED! I will put GPS thru the ringer, but so far it works great for me!

Edit - Just went thru a nav session on the way to work - at first I couldn't get the solid green LED, and I thought perhaps my previous experience was just a one-off. However, before messing with GPS I went into my System Panel Lite app and killed any open application. I didn't see Nav in the list, so something else must've been the culprit because it went to sleep pretty quickly after that!!

So for me, GPS does seem to *slightly* increase the time necessary for sleep, but it doesn't kill sleep. It's still enabled in settings, and I certainly used it for Nav on the way to work - and the phone is sleeping like a baby.

I need to figure out what app is killing sleep tho. Next time I'll try to be a little more pragmatic and kill one app at a time, until I figure out which one was killing sleep.

cool, maybe im just a baboon and left an app running.

I think i forgot to clear data when i did the install of the new one. That always breaks things. It broke my gchat for sure. So i recommend a nice data/cache wipe when possible.

Ah. Yea, I wiped everything when I installed the new LK. Which, btw, is fantastic. It worked exactly as I expected it to bro - assuming others don't have an issue with it, I say this is how it should be done going forward.

It will definitely make it easier for everyone i guess since its either fastboot or not.

As for the other little bugs discussed in the past (The galery and maps). They really dont leave much info behind to even investigate and unless the bugs is actually in our code, i doubt we can fix them without changing omgb. Guess we can always see what they plan for the next release based on 2.3.7.

Pandora doesn't play nice with BT. Someone mentioned if you turn off some car mode or some such thing in the Pandora settings the problem disappears.

This has been a problem on HaRET builds for a long time... ever since BT was enabled.

I'm currently running FRX7.1, would it be possible to run Titanium Backup and move everything into OMGB, or do I need to look at setting everything up from scratch?

Is this far enough along to replace FRX7.1 for everyday use? Reading through this thread that's the impression I get, but some direct feedback would be appreciated.

If you're not willing to help test, then no.

You should be able to backup *most* apps and restore. Some might not play well going from FroYo to GB, I can't say for sure.

Having not tried it yet, how will it affect plugging a dead cell phone up to a laptop to charge? Will it always go into fastboot? That behavior seems less than preferred if so? (Also, what's the impact of updating LK, having never done that before, but having of course tested and developed other things, I'm not afraid of it).

New Files are up. Some comments.

1) I put up a new LK for testing. This is only if you want to venture into testing how LK can be with no end call key to enter fastboot. If you guys like it, that will be the new setup then.

--This version also lets you boot with sim. However if you are a rhod 100/200/300 owner, dont use this just yet. A nice one for yall will come out soon enough. ](*,)

I'm happy to report that this does boot with the SIM installed. That's definitely a step closer to my being able to test worldphone mode.
