The only time I use wifi is in winmo. Is the MAC address in winmo if so that's the one I entered? What do you mean by syntax. Thanks

The MAC address is hardware-bound, so whatever OS you run on the phone, the MAC will be the same.

By syntax, I mean how the hell did you format it in the file. In other words, PASTE the wifi-nvram.txt file.

I used my pc and file explorer to copy and paste. I used atro file editor to add the mac address.

You put dashes between each octet. Please follow the directions and use colons. F22 even attached an example file so you could follow how to use it...

Not sure if MAC's can be used for anything malicious, but you might want to take down the attachment. Thanks.

So I went ahead and put the colons in there and still didn't
work but here's a copy of the command prompt.

$ export PATH=/data/local/bin:$PATH
$ su
# cp /sdcard/wifi-nvram.txt/data/wifi-txt.
BusyBox v1.15.2 (2009-10-25 02:53:01 CET) multi-call binary

Usage: cp [OPTIONS] SOURCE DEST

Copy SOURCE to DEST, or multiple SOURCE(s) to DIRECTORY

Options:
-a Same as -dpR
-d,-P Preserve links
-H,-L Dereference all symlinks (default)
-p Preserve file attributes if possible
-f Force overwrite
-i Prompt before overwrite
-R,-r Recurse directories
-l,-s Create (sym)links

Look at the usage line. The command didn't take because you need to put a space between wifi-nvram.txt and /data...

Again, please follow the directions to the T. Don't change anything or modify anything unless it expressly says to.

So it should be this then and it doesn't look like there's a space there. And what will the command prompt show after I hit the enter key? Thanks

Cp /sdcard/wifi-nvram.txt /data/wifi-nvram.txt

Did you copy and paste the command? Just because it doesn't look like there's a space there, doesn't mean there isn't. It looks like there is to me, but perhaps since I know the source and destination have to be separated by a space I'm biased.

Either way, you won't see anything. It should just go to the next line. You know it works when wifi works :p.
