has overclocking worked for anyone so far??? I feel the phone s a little sluggish.

Volume on speaker while on call is too low..any tips??

The overclocking seemed to work on FRX06, but on this one I tried it and it seemed to work, but then it would not boot. I may have the setting too high, but with OCing you really do not get a big jolt of increased performance.

This was the startup file I tried:

Code:

set ramsize 0x10000000
set ramaddr 0x10000000
set mtype 2292
set KERNEL zImage
set INITRD_OFFSET 0x608000
set initrd initrd.gz
set cmdline "lcd.density=240 msmts_calib=0x9f.0x39a.0x35c.0x78 clock_7x00.grp=0xa99 hw3d.force=1 msmvkeyb_toggle=off pmem.extra=1 rel_path=FRX07 north_am_dialing=1 force_cdma=1 board-htcrhodium.is_cdma=1 gsensor_axis=2,1,3 pm.sleep_mode=1 acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=748800 physkeyboard=rhod400"

You had a ton of deprecated commands. I removed them, see above ^^

Also, why the initrd_offset? Shouldn't be needed on .27 kernels - you are running .27, yes?

Might want to try toning down the OC. I have no clue why the OC would work for 06 but not for 07... that doesn't make sense, as I'm sure you agree. I don't OC, but I'll see if I can OC with your values. Different phones seem to be able to hit different levels, so my mileage will almost certainly vary from yours...

I pretty much copied and edited that script over a few months with the help of people on the forum. In any case, the TP2 boots but seems to reboot randomly afterwards. It seems stable not overclocked, so I think I should step back the OCing.

Do you or anyone recall the increments for the OCing.

Well, you can put in any value - it will automatically step the next available clock speed. They're in 19.2khz steps...

For example, if you put in 700000, this will step down to like 692.x...

WM OC in 19.2 increments so you may want to try it in android since it is still same hardware

Uhm... everything is on the SD card - so what would moving apps to the SD card do? Nothing. Congratulations! :p

Thanks, my WiMo build runs fine at 748. I'll crank this back to around 700 and see what happens. Are others OCing?

I think a lot of this depends on just how good the chip is you happened to draw.

Yeah, that's right.
But the data.img which the system auto created just have 256mb, and if i install many apps, it will soon not enough space.
I know that out there have an apps which can extend the data.img file but it's not stable if the size more than 2gb.

That's the reason i want to move some apps to SD card.

I've replied to you on xda-devs. Please, don't post identical questions across forums. It severely dilutes the community effort...

I help here just as much as I help there, so there's really no reason to cross-post across forums...

um... use this [APP] Windows: Create Your Own Data.img Maker Application, +/- From Existing data.img - xda-developers to make larger data.img file... Not move to SD card

edit: hm read your thign more closely :D lol and looks like you know about this. But 2gb is still quite a lot since android on TP2 isn't quite good enough for full time use with it's decreased battery life (at least for me) so 2gb is a lot of space. Plus you could use google music to store your songs online and not on phone. I found the google music apk file and it seems to work fine

I am getting the same oddity as others regarding the service signal: receive a call then I hang up, then the no service icon appears but I can still receive calls!, I just cannot place any until I switch to Airplane Mode.

I tried again to confirm the behavior:
- If BT was ON when starting Haret, BT will not start in Android and it will not let the phone enter deep sleeps.
- If BT was OFF when starting Haret but was ON at some point after the boot in WinMo, then in Android, BT will not start, but the phone will enter deep sleeps. Once you try to start BT, phone will not sleep anymore.
- If BT was OFF from beginning to end in WinMo, then in Android, BT will start and phone will enter deeps sleeps with BT ON or OFF.

set ramaddr 0x10000000
set mtype 2292
set KERNEL zImage
set initrd initrd.gz
set cmdline "rel_path=Android lcd.density=240 msmvkeyb_toggle=off gsensor_axis=2,1,3 force_cdma=1 pm.sleep_mode=1 physkeyboard=rhod400"

You have it correct, but if the folder name is in all caps - ANDROID, then rel_path=ANDROID. Linux is CaSe sensitive!

I've got a Raph800. FRX06 is fairly stable on it. Tried FRX07 and I get the eternal "smd_tty_buffer mismatch" issue mentioned in the XDA forum. Can I help test? send logs? I'm a developer but been stuck doing windows .net forever. I have linux experience from playing with linksys routers and NAS devices, but am far from an expert. But I'm willing to learn and help out.

Devs always welcome!

Have you tried an older kernel? w/o the smd_tty patch? 20110622 appears to be the last kernel w/o the patch...

Just tried that one. I got it to finally boot the second try, but it feels like some heavy process is going on in the background. There is no response to touch or buttons even after letting it sit for 5-10 minutes. I tried a 3rd time with the same results.

Rhod400, extracted contents of zip into a folder named FRX07, added my calibration and startup, ran haret and it freezes at this line no matter how many times i try to run haret:

Code:

cannot find '/system/bin/installd', disabling 'installd'
here's my startup:

Code:

set ramsize 0x10000000

Keep going back in kernels I guess...

Can we address this in the RAPH thread?

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/htc-touch-...dle-frx07.html

Just to keep things simple. It's hard enough keeping track, I have threads in each section to keep track better ;).

read simple guide post 1,

delete data.img, rename your windows side startup directory (1st couple of boots), disable overclock on windows, don't use on android side 1st boot, change sd cards, etc.. basics

Here's my Sprint startup.txt:
set ramsize 0x10000000
set ramaddr 0x10000000
set mtype 2292
set KERNEL zImage
set initrd initrd.gz
set cmdline "lcd.density=240 msmvkeyb_toggle=off gsensor_axis=2,1,3 pm.sleep_mode=1 physkeyboard=rhod400 rel_path=andbootfrx07 acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=716800"
boot

I have same TP2, works great!
Good luck

I have that problem when I have partitions on the SD card for playing with CWM builds. You need to add no_partitions to the set cmdline statement.

That might be it then because i do have partitions for CWM builds. What's the exact statement? no_partitions=true?

I have random loss of service, but it's usually around calls or heavy data usage - no one has sorted it out as of yet, but I'm trying to pursue the issue with the RIL developer. Won't be a simple issue to figure out I'm afraid... I've done my best to shake out other potential issues with the RIL, and so far have turned up nada...

Definitely a known-issue, but no known-fix at this time...

Just a quick note of thanks to the developers and to arrrghhh for all of the help here. I have been able to get this up and running, and BT works with my Jawbone headset just fine. Voice Dialer seems to work as well, but I have not been able to test it out much yet. Battery life is still Mehhh, but not horrible. In Win-Mo, I can easily make it through an entire day; with Android, maybe 1/2 a day so far. Not completely sure why yet.

All I can suggest is make sure it's sleeping (solid green LED). Not sure Android will ever match WinMo for battery life... WinMo seems to be very efficient - probably because it's not doing anything :p.

I am, along with other issues that i thought were fixed a long time ago like the screen dimming even though i have it set to full brightness, calls going to speakerphone all on their own, speakerphone static when on a call, system lagging seriously, rebooting on its own...

None of these issues have been addressed. Most of them you list are related to audio routing, which is completely unchanged in 07...

System lagging seriously, nothing new - it's an issue that could be caused by any number of things. Along with rebooting on its own - they're tied together, if the system lags so badly that it can't do anything it will reboot itself basically. I usually get this when updating many apps from the Market - system chokes on itself and eventually does a killall zygote and boom back to the boot animation...

Brightness is a kernel issue. Not sure why you thought a new build would magically fix that...

I usually get this when updating many apps from the Market - system chokes on itself and eventually does a killall zygote and boom back to the boot animation...

Brightness is a kernel issue. Not sure why you thought a new build would magically fix that...

hmm i guess i'm not sure what frx07 is exactly then... i thought it would be a release package which would include the latest and greatest up until now?

don't get me wrong though, i'm not trying to complain. i really appreciate all the hard work everyone does for this and love seeing all this progress!
