I agree with that. It's why I posted about it being off topic on the previous page & reported a post about it as such to no avail. Sorry & moving on...

Re: [BUILD] **Complete Froyo Bundle!!** FRX06 - "Stable" - Minor Fixes

OK, now back on an Android topic .

Is it true that Function 29 refers to the reference in the book Daemon to the function that destroys everyone....?

Been away for a few weeks, back testing FRX06...and gotta say, I forgot how snappy the UI can be.

Re: [BUILD] **Complete Froyo Bundle!!** FRX06 - "Stable" - Minor Fixes

I know "waking" from sleep poses a problem. But, sometimes in spite of trying various things - the phone never wakes and I end up pulling out the battery and restarting the phone...

And this has happened to me more frequently in the last few days..

I am going to format/fix my SD card and try again to see if it works. But - just wanted to know if there are any known fixes that might reduce this issue.. Thanks.

Another issue I noticed that happened to me is that - I run Android without any issues and sometimes - when I do not use the phone for a couple of hours and then see - viola - its back to Windows... No idea when/why it restarted. it just reboots into windows by itself...

Random reboots happen, there causes are many. I don't get many of them, but they do still happen.

The #1 culprit (in my experience) is the SD card. The SD card fails to remount or turn back on, etc - and Android freaks out because without the SD it doesn't have an operating system, and it reboots.

Now that's not always the cause... some apps can cause it, but mainly because of the kernel not supporting everything correctly/at all. Kernel panics shouldn't happen; there's still a lot of kernel work to be done.

With all that said, which kernel are you on? I hate to say it, but WisTilt2's testing kernel (from 4/15, not the newest 5/14...) is still the best for me on panel wakes. You can try newer kernels from the autobuild service, but I still have issues with waking on even the newest kernels.

At least show a little respect for the developers who've done so much porting this over to our phones, they've done no less than what many chefs have done getting leaked builds of winmo cooked onto our phones.
Ok, I'll tell you what I mean...
I run Energy ROM, before I ran Mighty ROM. These allow me to run both GPS without charges on Verizon and to run my unlimited data plan via tether to my computer when traveling (this I can also do on Android). I can sync 7,500 contacts completely and thoroughly with Exchange (Android can't, it makes a mess of contacts that have different addresses with the same name at the top by combining them all into one hodgepodge mess [see my previous comments if you want more info]), it also syncs my tasks (Android can't). I can link my Android phone via BT to my car (Android can't). Android crashes constantly, with messages that some program has stopped working and do I want to wait or force close it. WinMo imports my contacts with all the data, usually long resumes in the notes section of the contact (Android cuts off a lot of the data). I change something in a contact in Android and it probably won't change the data in exchange, WinMo always does. The speakerphone stinks in Android, it sound hollow and not very loud, in WinMo I have to turn it down because it is so loud, and clear.

Do you want more?

Most of what you complain about is our port, not Android. Perhaps the issues you have with contacts & tasks are Android-specific, but reading thru the rest of your whining post, your biggest issues are with our port.

The audio routing code is being fixed & cleaned up as we speak.

BT is related to this, and already works for anyone brave enough to try the test code.

Exchange sucks donkey balls, so I'm not going to address your concerns there. Microsoft obviously doesn't want other companies to be able to sync easily with their horrible products, so they obviously work well with anything M$, but work only marginally with other products. Don't blame the other products, blame Microsoft.

At any rate, if you really have that many problems with Android, stick to WinMo and STFU. I don't care if you don't like Android, that's a personal problem. Take it somewhere else. This is a support forum, not a place to gripe about how much you hate something that's being provided free of charge.

To paraphrase Jim Carey, "Man! You're one pathetic loser!" I wasn't even talking to you originally in my post that this port of Android was fun but seriously flawed. And I thanked him for finding me the Energy ROM. You took fault with that comment, so I provided you with information that you seemed to want. Now you tell me I'm whining and blaming people? If you don't want info, don't f...ing ask for it! Then don't blame someone for whining when they provide info you yourself asked for! I don't even know why I'm wasting my time responding to a defensive POS such as yourself.

Thanks... I still getting used to tech jargons .. I think I am on GIT (Feb 28 / 1276), and rootfs from GIT (Feb. 24).

I am not sure what a kernel exactly is - but I downloaded the ones from 4/15 and replaced the files in my SD card and rebooted to android now.. I will try this update and see how it is and report back any thing I can find..

I didn't ask you for any info, especially not your own personal demons. Move along, we're trying to enjoy Android over here...

Yea, tech jargon is fun isn't it - every new field has their own jargon too .

If you want to learn more, there's a ton of info out there. If not, that's OK too. It's just helpful to know the more advanced topics to understand how to troubleshoot. If you're not able to troubleshoot... then you'll just have to wait for stuff to get fixed .
