this build of FRX06 works great on my DIAM500! Now to get it working on the TP2...

Cheers!

no no no, the fact of laziness comes in where IF i have to reboot for any reason, be it laggy behavior, bad behavior, or after a bckup, or to verify any changes i may have made to my own set up (like downloading new kernels or dropping in the GPS fix that you pointed out the other day in another thread) ... i'd rather just bypass WinMo altogether, if possible. just rebooting the Android UI instead of having to go through the booting of two separate systems, you know?

What's this GPS fix you mentioned? I can't seem to get a GPS lock at all with this build.

Well, it doesn't improve lock times - it just prevents the GPS from putting you off the coast of Ghana - basically solves the invalid fix bug.

Thread for reference.

Also keep in mind - if you get a lock in WinMo first, or use QuickGPS in WinMo before booting Android, it will severely decrease lock times. The normal 'clear view of the sky' stuff obviously applies as well.

Try Quickboot. It also lets you reboot the Android UI.

Thanks! This works much better than powering off the phone to get back into Windows. Love having Android on my Windows phone but still needed access to some of my Windows apps.

My mistake, you are correct.

What other 'gotchas' do you feel you had to figure out? Obviously there might be some within the system itself, but the install process I try to make as painless as possible.

It took me a long time to realize that the absence of my calibration file is why my Android boot seemed to hang indefinitely, because I didn't realize it was waiting for me to touch the calibration points on the screen (which look different than the Windows calibration points, so I didn't know what they were).

At that point, I was convinced that I had screwed up the SD card, and so I kept reformatting it and recopying the files ... obviously I finally figured it out.

Fyi ... my single feature keeping me from staying on Android is lack of BlueTooth support for my earpiece.

Assuming you have a normal "TouchPro" and not a "TouchPro2", please post in the correct section.

I have a build thread in that section as well, thanks.
