If you drop them in the folder, they will install on the next reboot - IE if you put them in there while in WinMo, then boot Android - they'll be installed.

The other two methods work while in Android - either a file explorer app, or
Code:

adb install

Alright, it's noted! I'll report back to you once I try the AndroidApps method. Also, do you know anything about the Syncing problem I have? Could my location be a factor for not being able to add a Google account?

Thank you once again!

I'm not sure, I know you don't need any location services to work for Google to sign in - perhaps your provider is blocking it? Seems doubtful... Does it work over wifi?

I'm on a different carrier/slightly different phone, and I've never had a problem signing into my Google account using the Sprint data cxn.

arrrghhh,

Is there any limit to the apks I can install using the AndroidApps method? The reason I'm asking is that it install the first 5 or 6 apks alright, but all the other apks that I copy to the folder do not install any longer. Do you know why?

I am currently living in Ghana, West Africa. The carrier does not affect me here. I'm on a GSM network currently even though my phone is originally a CDMA phone.

Thank you for all your support!

Hrm... I don't think there would be a limit, but perhaps it takes some time to churn thru them and times out.

Does it work if you reboot? Do the remaining APK's install? If not, adb install or using a file explorer app is the only other methods I'm aware of.

I definitely think using a file explorer app would be better since I don't seem to understand how to use the adb install (despite so many hours used in the attempt).

Which file explorer app would you recommend and how to use it?

Thanks once again.

I haven't used many file explorer apps for Android - Astro seems to be the favorite overall tho, and it works well.

As for adb install, you need to have adb working. Once you have adb working, you just do adb install <apk>. Very easy once adb is setup - adb isn't so easy to setup, as it is primarily used for debugging (and boy howdy does it make that easier!)

Yeah, I know adb is very hard to setup. As for astro, this is my favorite file explorer app too, but I can't seem to make a headway in trying to install it via the AndroidApps trick. Will try hard and let you know.

Thanks.

By the way, is there any update to this build coming up!

Can't wait to see what the future holds!

Lots of things happening, but it will be a little while before it can get integrated.

If you want something to play with, there's a fix for the 0,0 issue that puts you in the ocean when you startup Google Maps and try to use GPS. Basically resolves the false lock.

XDA Thread.

Stine is also going to backport some stuffs from GB. (fixed dial screen, etc)

Hi, I am still hanging out testing. Basically this build is OK for me if I was dropped in a desert island and did not use my BT headset. I am able to get around the 3.5 mm jack issue with a USB splitter in my car. These can also be purchased for headset use. OC is working fine and I get results of between 550 and 560 consistently with the 748 setting. WiFi also works.

Cheers
