Re: [BUILD] **Complete Froyo Bundle!!** FRX04 - "Stable"
If you use Windows, Droid Explorer makes it real easy.

Once you get a hold of the latest SYSTEM_LAST_KMSG*.txt.gz log, just attach it here for arrrghhh and his team to look at. NOTE: by "latest", I mean "after the crash" you boot back into Android and grab the most recent dated SYSTEM_LAST_KMSG*.txt.gz file.

Re: [BUILD] **Complete Froyo Bundle!!** FRX04 - "Stable"
Would someone please explain where we are with battery savings? I recall seeing it discussed in the 100 or so pages I've read over the past couple days, but can't remember the name of it. Starts with an "M" I think. Is it a thing or a person? I have no idea! And how should I stop the battery bleeding after using GPS? I've been going through a full charge in a couple hours (heavy use). That's crazy, right?

Basically we were never collapsing the panel in the kernel, we would just take the brightness down to 0 - so it would appear off, when in fact it's still drawing power. Another huge issue with battery life comes down to something very simple - the phone sleeping or not! If you don't get that green LED that stays (fairly) solid, the phone isn't sleeping. Just having GPS enabled in Location & Security (not even if it's being used, just enabled) will kill sleep. Disable GPS, and the phone should sleep. The other most popular culprit for failed sleep is a rogue application that doesn't want to respect the system asking it to sleep. Kinda a crap shoot on this one, but SystemPanel Lite can help with determining which app is doing the dirty deed. I also have a test kernel thread, but the main panel collapse/wake code has been committed already, so you don't have to run a test kernel if you don't want to. The more reports on that the merrier, but I understand why not everyone wants to test |

![]() Yes, I'm on Sprint, but don't know how to update to 1258? Do I just paste a 1258 system.ext2 onto my sd card? Okay, I got ya on the green led. I've noticed certain apps (like the music player) would prevent the green led from coming on. SystemPanel Lite is it then. And I'll be disabling GPS whenever not needed. I think that's been killing me a ton! Thanks again for the answers.
