Interesting, I don't think anyone has investigated radio differences very closely. I know the HD2 folk have to run a very specific radio or else they have issues. You might be on to something, I'm on 2.32, haven't changed in forever...

I was 2.37 when I first started playing with FRX, and did have issues. I moved over to 2.32 about the same time I stopped having issues (just recently). I think there might be a connection here. FRX has never been more bomb-free since I've been on 2.32.

Hmmm..., I'm on 2.37 (from Jan 3. Vin's Neo ROM) and I haven't had an issue for all of last week. I'm on jonpry's SCBS kernel now and it's been solid. Thanks for the heads up; if I start getting stability issues, I'll flashed back to 2.32.

This issue is completely unrelated to this kernel. Please, this test kernel is meant to address specific things - unrelated things should go in the build thread. This is a known-issue for video record however - only certain phones exhibit the issue, I don't think a pattern has been identified.

I haven't tried jonpry's SCBS kernel...solid, huh? I've been very pleased with 4.2.11 & I'm gonna breakdown & slap 4.4.11 on cuz I'm bored! Was hoping another kernel would get released before I got the fever.

Yep, pretty stable with his kernel. The only drawback is that if you're used with the fast panel wake with this kernel, it's gonna be slower in jonpry's test kernel; I sometime have to wait up to 5 seconds before it wakes up; most times, it's 1-2 seconds before it wakes up after a deep sleep. I hope jonpry's patches and wistilt2's patches get pushed to the mainline kernel git tree soon so we all can benefit from it.

WisTilt2's patches have been submitted AFAIK. The devs are just hashing out how to integrate at this point.

Jonpry's work has some big implications - lots of stuff will need to be changed to properly integrate scbs. It'll take a little while before his stuff can be integrated methinks.

Not to say I'm not excited to see all this stuff merged - there's a TON of testing crap out there at the moment!

Hello!

I have issues with radio too. Did you got back only with radio driver? I would go back with radio too, but don't know how. Could you explain?

Thanks in advance!

Go back to the TP2 forum and search for updating the radio, same as flashing a winmo ROM (there's even a stickied thread specific for radios...). This thread is only related to the latest testing kernel so if you have a question on flashing a winmo radio, which is what they're referring to, your best bet is to post it in the winmo section, not android.
