Re: [TESTING] Updated 2/2/11 New Kernel

Got hit by the battery draining bug again.

My phone was plugged in and fully charged with the screen on when I went to bed. In the morning, its battery was fully dead, to the point where it couldn't charge and was stuck in an infinite boot loop.

Captured the logs again, but the only thing that happens in the logs before it died is a lot of:
Code:
gpiomatrix: unmapped key, 0-3 (35-18) changed to 1
Any idea what this is about? Especially considering it died in the middle of the night, unless my house is haunted I don't think anyone was around pressing keys.

Re: [TESTING] Updated 2/2/11 New Kernel

My phone just hit the difficulty waking up, but eventually does wake up bug again.

Hit the power button, no apparent response, backlight remained off. Opened the keyboard, keyboard lights activated. Jammed on all the button, after about 15 seconds the phone suddenly woke up.

Immediately after the phone woke up, I captured this dmesg.

Re: [TESTING] Updated 2/2/11 New Kernel

I see these
Code:
02/08/2011 12:14:24 [INFORMATION] gpiomatrix: unmapped key, 0-3 (35-18) changed to 1
in my logs as well as your most recent log. Not sure what it means tho TBH.

I'll shoot WisTilt2 an email with these logs, not sure if he'll respond today or even tonight tho... said he'd be pretty busy.

Uhm... this really isn't the right thread for this at all...

Although I do appreciate new bootanims, might be better posted in the main FRX04 thread, or perhaps you should create a bootanim thread. I don't think there is one on PPCG AFAIK. If there is, bump it with this post .

Re: [TESTING] Updated 2/2/11 New Kernel

New kernel folks, panel detect! Please read the first post...

I have gotten responses back from a bunch of different 100's, a 300 and a couple of 400's.

So if you have a RHOD210 (TMobile) or RHOD500 (VZW) please grab your dmesg and look for those two lines about the type of panel. Thanks!

Re: [TESTING] Updated 2/9/11 New Kernel - Proper Panel Detect!!

I'm gonna try d/l'ing this one from work, been having a hell of a time even getting android working again on my phone, regardless of which build I'm using. Even tried older builds that I moved off my card and keep getting reboots, SOD's, etc, hell half the time I'm getting errors saying the system is screwed before I can even do anything, so I've got no logs or anything to pull. I'm about to throw this freaking phone through a wall right now, except that winmo is still working fine! And I'm trying on my 6 month old 8G class 8 card, 4G class 2 and a brand spanking new 8G class 4, they're all doing the same thing, all reformatted, new builds, etc.

Dang guy. If you want, we can try to hash it out on IRC or gtalk or something... I was going to suggest trying a different card, but you've more than covered that.

Re: [TESTING] Updated 2/9/11 New Kernel - Proper Panel Detect!!

I may take you up on your offer, I'm gonna keep trying, reformat and put nothing else on there except for the build and go from there and see what happens. I'm starting to wonder if the phone has developed some sort of hardware issue, but like I said, winmo seems to be working ok. Let me try to get the new kernel d/l'd and go from there, but again, I may take you up on your offer soon!
