Mine seems to be working great! I think better then Haret...
But when I got a phone call the screen did not turn on at all?

Coolsilver make sure you have the correct modules in your andboot folder.

Thanks again!

I haven't tried a phone call.

I do update the modules in the andboot folder. I rename them to modules-(kernel.version).tar.gz taking off the autobuild info of the front. This might be why my gps never locks on anymore. But my wifi works fine. Usually that fails each time the modules don't load.

I reverted back to the older nbh and kept the modules. Screen works as before as always on.

I figure I am doing something wrong. Might just delete it all off my card and start again. I have about 6gb of music on it which I would play more often if bluetooth or headphones worked. I know it is on the list. So no hurry

Re: NAND Boot Testing - 11-29: New Framebuffer, gralloc, and libGLES

To Nate or ACL:

Thanks for all your hard work. I am trying out the 12/11 build with the panel off code, and what I am experiencing is when I try to wake up the phone, the backlight will flicker on and off, but eventually it will come on if I try it enough. Upon receiving a call, the backlight will turn on by itself and remain on.

I don't know how to use haret, but if you provide me with some quick instruction on how I can connect to the haret network socket using Linux (Ubuntu) or Windows, I can try to provide any details you might need that would help.

I have the complete build environment installed so I could test out changes if that is needed. Sorry I cannot provide any coding expertise but I do know a lot about Linux and I can find my way around source code files and such.

Again, thanks for your hard work--the NAND build you have got going is by far the most stable and fast Android I've tried on my RHOD400 yet.

Another question--Does the power management work in mode 0? I see in the tinboot config file that it is set to 2. Does 0 work all that well?

I believe nate flashes his windows rom back in order to use haret. Ahe uses his bluetooth a lot and so he only runs nand when testing.

Have a thousand thanks.

EDIT:

Screen does power down as expected. Again doesn't power on once loaded. :/ At first my screen was a shade of red.... it was creepy.

Left it sit. Turning on correctly, bad ghost of top notification bar along bottom edge of launcher pro bar. Turned on and off and all ok again.

I'm not sure my libGLES is working because the boot animation flashes and tears as before. Graloc seems to be ok according to logcat.

Nope back to not turning on... yet the screen reacts even though it is off..... ooookay.... lol

Hmm.. so there may be different panel types for the rhod. We will need to dump from haret to see what panels are around. Hard part will be figuring out who has what pannel :-\

screen should not tear at all.. make sure you use the latest lib and gralloc (29/30).
Bummer to hear it hasn't worked on everything. I got totally screwed today, so I'm stuck babysitting 20 children under the age of 6 with my wife for 8 hours. Pisses me off when she volunteers us for stuff without telling me the full details...

Long story short, I won't be able to get my mmutrace logs up for another 8 hours or so.

For autobuild, I wouldn't bother renaming anything. It should work the way it is. For GPS fix, it takes forever for me to get one, but eventually it works.

Re: NAND Boot Testing - 11-29: New Framebuffer, gralloc, and libGLES

I ran a trace copying what Bzo used for his run of haret. The first trace was the action of turning my screen on, the second trace was the action of turning the screen off:

HaRET(# wirq 10 irq:8002b418@0xa03443f8=810d1

Not sure if this is any different than Bzo's trace.

ACL is the genius. I just follow directions well

I'll put together a package and details on haretconsole for you when I get home. Also, never tried the sleep mode, but you can edit tinboot and try it out

Yeah, basically I have a rhod500 and a tilt2. The rhod500 is my work phone and the tilt2 has been in use by my best friend for the past 4 months (since his old phone was broken). Because of travel and my job, I have to keep wince on the phone most of the time, but I do test NAND during the day and on weekends. Maybe some day I'll get my tilt2 back, but he still has a few months before his contract is up and can get a new phone.
