why do you need a new rootfs if all of this works with the current one?

We already have a modded rootfs for keyboard layout stuff. Was just going to toss the backlight brightness command in there with it and generate a new rootfs as well. Just makes it so people don't have to edit the froyo.user.conf themselves. Like I said, I love automating things to make it easier for others :)

ahh.. for the auto keyboard ? ic. if you dont mind making one i suppose thats cool. but since the user conf executes inside the rootfs, why not make your script run in there so you can just deploy 1 userconf instead of 1 whole rootfs?

But the user conf executes before the keyboard routine. So that don't really work. But I could be wrong. ;)

correct but the keyboard routine relies on the cmdline which we can mod like i posted before. Unless it didnt work when you tried it??

ok fellas. disabled auto-bl and cleaned up tinboot cmdline so you guys can add more stuff in the custom rootfs.

Let me know how it works out.

Booted just fine for me and blacklight turns off. Maybe now my battery will last, I was not even getting 4 hours with it. I'm hoping it had something to do with the auto-bl.

So are we just going use a custom rootfs instead of using the config file?

Thanks!=D>
