I tried out the hack you had in post#2558, i.e.:
"modifying sysinit.rc and removing " -- -d /dev/smd0" from:
service ril-daemon /system/bin/rild -l /system/lib/libhtcgeneric-ril.so -- -d"
I still get a crash at the same place when I do a 'fastboot boot boot.img':

i.e. an error message that included 'rild uses 32 bit capabilities (legacy support)..... SMD: Ch 0 opening' .... or something similar, shortly before the phone reboots. I never have gotten to see the Operating System in action.

I've got no experience with pre-compiled source code, so modifying cpp files is beyond me. Thanks for your continued interest,

I'd recommend waiting until GSM is sorted. There's still a core issue related to GSM service, and NAND is not ready for you guys yet...

Help is always welcome tho, so anyone with some skills feel free to jump in on the development - the more the merrier!

Hey guys I'm having a problem getting data to work. I've tried the two different kernels available from 5-18 and 5-22. The phone shows an active data connection in the notification area but no programs can connect to the internet outside of wifi. Is there anything special that needs to be done on a Rhod500 to get it working on Verizon? Sorry if it's been posted but I did read back about 100 pages and didn't find anything that helped. I've also rebooted several times. Are there any logs I can get to help troubleshoot data?
Only other problem is waking up the phone, but I'm sure you all have that documented already. Best way I've found of waking it up is to press the End call button, then the top power button, and then slide open the phone to get to the unlock screen.

Edit: Gotta say, ACL and all you others are geniuses. Flash method is pretty straight forward once you get ADB and fastboot drivers working properly.

Edit 2: Are any files still required in the andboot folder on the SD card or is everything running strictly off NAND?

Can I get a rhodium nand android (+ files) without fastboot?
I can't install this version because the fastboot is shutdown when I start the device.

Please, somebody help me and send a nand...

No... we're striving to be as close to native as possible here... so fastboot stays. Sorry.

Can you describe more what you mean? NAND isn't really ready for daily use yet, so I would honestly stick to haret until NAND is more refined.

And what about the older NAND test with tinboot and simple recovery? Can I get this files and install describe?

The question is why do you want them?
The older stuff is exactly that... Old and out dated.
Are you working on something different by chance?
Or can you just not get fastboot working... If so then just wait as arrrghh said.

At all sorry for my absence lately, both work at home life has been extremely busy and I have had zero time to play with this... :( I hope to get back soon but I'm not not sure when stuff is going to let up... But until then happy flashing :headbang:

The fastboot is not working on my device (rho100_uk). It is start but 5 seconds later the fastboot stoped and can't continue the work.

So, I would like a nand without fastboot, because the simple tinboot maybe running.

GSM devices aren't supported very well at this stage, pretty much not at all. Wait for NAND to settle a little bit, there's quite a bit of work to get it up to snuff.

Asking for older stuff doesn't help anyone basically. Either help figure out the issue with fastboot, or wait. Look forwards, don't look backwards.
