lmiller/nate

some good progress tonight .. swapping misc and recovery works and it lets us deply with the nhb as well as make it erasable .. woohoo

i'm still trying to fix an issue where if you hold down the power key to force recovery it will lock up. So im trying our our old trick from init where we will use the loop for dex init to check for the keys pressed..

also looks like enabling sdcard on lk is pointless. SInce you can do almost everything via update.zip there is really no need for sd support .

I haven't had time to mess with this lately, but what's the scoop?

Last time I tested was 3.29.11 but wasn't as smooth as 3.22.11

EDIT:

For CDMA, is there a way in Android to edit the PST or DATA stuff? The only real reason why I would have to flash Windows Mobile to the TP2...

We should have something to test either late tonight or tomorrow.
GSM should now be working too but we will need some testers... :)

As far as I know there is no way, I know the Vogue users always had to flash back to WinMo to do this too...

My phoneis unlocked for GSM but currently only using CDMA. I don't have a GSM sim card to play with... :-/

Looking forward to the new update! I now have the Samsung EPIC, what better phone than that! :)

CDMA data settings are all handled by the APN editor in the updated framework. No need for epst or whatever.

New TEST build!!!
GSM "Should Boot"
:headbang:

NBH: <--- Will only work with with a USB Flash.
msm_unsigned_051011_151551.zip:<--- is the file to be placed in root of your SDCard
Here is Fastboot: <--- Need to have drivers installed, please don't ask how to do that here... Google it.
Here is the recovery.img <--- Add to your Fastboot folder.

Process:
When your phone boots you will see a blue screen. Hold down the End call button and your phone should then boot to fastboot. If not try again.

Open cmd window and cd to your fastboot folder...
Enter this cmd: Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Then: Fastboot reboot

Again: When your phone boots you will see a blue screen. Hold down the End call button and your phone should then boot to recovery. If not try again.

Once in recovery go to "install update Via Sdcard".
Select the update.zip you already placed on your SDcard from above.

Wait..............

Once completed, you can select "Reboot Device".

Your device will reboot and boot to Android. We all of the extra apps it might take a bit to load....

Enjoy!!! :evil4:

Please Report any issues... Not sure about GSM service...

RHODIMG.NBH only 129.56 KB,
extract boot.img, we got file boot.img-kernel.gz , does this file same as zImage or had do some modify in order to run in NAND

Re: NAND Boot Testing - 04-06: FRX06 on NAND (Testing FRX06 now!)

I get bootloop with SIM in, without SIM it boots directly into recovery every time, no matter what button I hold - can't even put it in fastboot mode anymore.
I'll task 29 again and see what happens..update tomorrow/late tonight.

Btw. my battery just died, so I guess tomorrow ;)

oh, as a reminder RHOD300 here - pure GSM awesomeness ;)
