crap - same issue with Titanium... need root

this is not good - I may have to dump this install for now... :-(

I'm getting ready to install it here in a few minutes using LMiller's androidupdate, but I'll answer a couple of your questions.

First, the no data on first boot is because of that DNS issue still. That needs to be resolved in a different way.

For Titanium, open it, click Problems, then use it to download and install busybox.

I'll be able to provide a little better feedback in a little while after I've had a chance to test it out.

Nate, I tried that with Titanium... no luck.

I will mention that waking seems to be going better... although I am not sure I have seen a green LED yet for sleep....

Didnt realize the DNS was still a first boot issue... no problem. If the rest of the data connection is stable, i really dont care!

Panel init/power down is still a little buggy. It works for the most part, but there is a lot of work still to be done there.

I have noticed that power down always hangs, if the phone is plugged in. seems to be rather stable unplugged...

Sleep state update: its the same as posted in my video earlier, although it may take longer to get there...

Yeah, so it looks like su isn't in LMiller's androidupdate. You need both su and busybox for Titanium to be happy.

I think we are looking at adding su, Superuser.apk, and busybox to the future androidupdates as a permanent addition.

Give me a few minutes. I've found a few things that were messed up (latest NBH isn't the latest kernel). I'm putting together a new androidupdate and NBH. Just waiting on a compile, then I'll test, then I'll upload.

OK, so it still isn't as stable as FRX05 was for me, and I'm not sure why. Here's the download for my kernel with androidupdate.tgz: Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!

I recommend on first boot to wait for everything to load, then power off the phone, then power it back on. Now log into Market, then download and install busybox, then grab Titanium Backup. Also, you will want to grab Spare Parts and set the end key to Home... I need to spend some time messing with our navipad to see if I can fix that.

Edit: Also, note that this has a minor change to the mtdparts. It seems the last 16 MB of our NAND should not be written to, so I have made that adjustment. Also, I am currently having issues with wifi on this build, but I haven't figured out what is causing it yet. Grabbing dmesg right now.

nate/lmiller

make a basic android update just for busybox and su for any builds. If people are too lazy to install this on their own, then they can download it this way. Just post it and i'll upload it to the server for the masses.

I dont want to include this in the build. Just not aosp and its not a flexible solution.
