Android App Inventor - Your Evo just got 1000x cooler.
Saw this on Engadget and looks like this will kick ass for anyone not willing to spend time learning C and Java.

Looks cool but one of the biggest issues in app development is just that creating a app the is worth something. I would hate to see android market flooded with garbage applications like a cat meowing.

Ha ha, come on! Have a little more faith!

After reading & researching App Inventor, it looks to me as another score for Android in the OS development market. Android has now released a powerful yet intuitive UI program for creating apps which can even utilize the sensors, GPS and other core functions of the phone.

Hardcore developers will likely still use the SDK but this will allow some of us lesser-programming savvy to create and prosper. Besides, even if a few "weaker" apps are created, the potential for learning, expansion and greatness is there. Having one more tool to do so can only help...
