no it can't...while it is not impossible no developers would spend time on it as it is not worth month of efforts to put it on a phone with horrible specs that would be laggy.

I disagree the phone sports a dual core processor 528 mhz and a 256 mhz and they are running android on touch pros with only a 528 mhz processor. The htc hero has a 528 mhz single processor with just slightly more ram at 288 to 256 mb. I dont see why a version of xandroid couldnt be ported to it and run well. In my opinion the hardware is there.

Oh I missed the "HD" part and thought it was talking about the original Instinct...which has like a 200mhz chip..

From what I'm reading it has a MSM7625 (ARM11 528Mhz) and BCM2727 ARM9 (256Mhz) processors

Its not a dual core..the BCM2727 is a GPU with 32M polygons a second..aka it would mean the Instinct HD has mroe GPU power then an EVO >.> lol

The CPU is same one as then HTC Willow/HTC Cedar..its is an underclocked snapdragon and should include the same GPU as the EVO built in as well the Adreno 200..only difference is the clock speed..so even it alone can run circles around a tp/tp2 :/

The problem lies in that GPU is generally hard to find in other Android devices...only like 1 or 2 hard to find devices have it..the only prominent device that has it is the Nokia N8 which is not Android...(for reference use)

Considering the specs it would definitely be able to run android..BUT samsung is pretty good at securing their stuff so it will probably be fairly tough.
