Google Play for Music

I think I need someone to explain all of Google Play Music to me, as I never seem to know what it's doing! I do like the Instant Mixes though - I think they're just a fairly random mix of music loosely linked to whatever the title track of the mix is. How the system works out what goes in to the mix I'm not sure; I would guess date, tempo, style ,my tablets is pipo m8pro
