anyone know of a app the will block app permission or apps access to the network but still allow the app to work ??

sounds like he wants a way to prevent an app from communicating to the web, but allow the app to run on the phone - perhaps to use free apps (like angry birds) without the ads?

how some apps send your data to ad company's if there was a firewall app some like kaspersky for the pc where the program it completely functioning but not allowed to call home cuz ive block data access for that app

the problem is that the EVO is so intimately dependent on the network. Of course, you can go to Airplane mode to cut off all outside access.

I would like to have a port sniffer, somewhat like Ethereal for a PC. I think it could be beneficial to see all the port traffic going in and out of the phone, what packets are being sent and what app is sending and receiving them. Will not solve your problem but at least, you would see who is sending what to whom.

I think the current version of juicedefender has this option (restricted to only 4 applications though) - triggers tab, scroll down to "apps" section
