Love SWYPE...Chk This Out..."SlideIT"

Hey Everyone, I just want to offer an alternative keyboard for those who are Swype fanatics, like myself, ho can't deal with the expiration periods & stuff. I am hoping that some of the DEVS can come up w/ Mods for this keyboard as it, to me, is awesome. The features are great. I enjoy using it more than I did swype. There is a demo version in the Market that you can try before posting. Since we can not post warez, I won't but...the $Free.99 version is out there. The paid version costs $8.27 in the market. Is it worth it...You be the judge!

I tried it and went back to the original keyboard, as it has its own set of issues. I have also tried Swype and even with its set of issues, is still a better application at this point. I and bunches of others are waiting for Swype to be released. Wait and buy rather than buy and buy, that is where I am coming from.

this has long been a known keyboard alternative.. as is shapewriter (you will have to google to find it..version 3.0.9)

I use SlideIT because I can't find a version of Swype to work on my Desire.

Okay...maybe for you but i didn't know about it until yesterday & I'm sure I'm not the only one...SMDH!

Tried SlideIT on my Touch Pro 2 and didn't like it. But it works great on the Desire, but Swype still has it won hands down. So it has been around quiet some time. But, heck to each it's own. Glad you shared it with others, because it gets buried in back post and new comers would never see it.

When will swype be released is the big question. Only thing i wish was multi-touch keyboard.

I tried both SlideIT and Shapewriter. While I found both to be better then the standard or even HTC Keyboard, ultimately I found Ultra Keyboard to be the best "Swiping" keyboard out there. Plus, the sub $3.00 price is hard to beat considering the higher price for the other alternatives. It wasn't just price, though, Ultra Keyboard is extremely customizable and was the most accurate for me.
