Looking for EVO Screen Lock soft button like TP2?

Hi - I am looking for app/widget that would lock the screen via a soft button or icon.
Similar to what was available to the TP2.
Kinda not feeling the vibe with the EVO's power button as a lock screen initiator.

Any advice/recs appreciated. Thanks!

Lock Screen Widget

It basically turns your screen off, you would of course have to use the power button to turn it back on.

Coming down between your free Lock Screen Widget vs. two competing Paid Screen Off1 & Paid Screen Off2

But appears the Lock Screen Widget doesn't turn off the screen?

Lock Screen Widget turns off the screen for me...I place the widget on the screen and when I press it, the screen shuts off.


The paid screen off that you linked looks pretty good.

if you use no lock app. select the no lock widget and turn it on.(so that screen doesnt lock)
then you can use vol.up or down to get your evo backlight on.(power to get it off)
this works great for me.

I paid the $.99 cents for Screen Off. Place the widget/app icon on the home screen, press it and your scree is off. The lock is delayed about 5 to 10 seconds, but that does not bother me.
