AdFree...can't download hosts

So I downloaded AdFree for my EVO (I am rooted) and it won't let me download the hosts so it can block the ad's. Are there additional steps that need to be taken? Any help is appreciated.

Don't worry, my AdFree says it is working fine, downloads host file, than still displays ad's, FML..

Don't the reviews for AdFree say that it's not working with the newest updates like Froyo?
