As a part-time developer I can add that there's nothing more frustrating than a user of the app having a problem, leaving a one-star bash of the app and never contacting me for support. It's helps us all in the long run if you'd contact Joel and let him know what you did and what problem you encountered. That gives him a chance to correct things rather then simply hearing you are pissed and the app sucks (which it doesn't) all of which does nobody any good except give you a chance to blow off some steam unproductively.
