Best App for Evo - Layar

This app is absolutely indispensable. I saw it on the commercial for Droid so I decided to check it out. It can help you find anything and it in 3D. Its a pretty polished app and works perfectly with the other features of the phone. I'm coming from a WinMo Diamond so for everything on this phone to be so polished and work so well right out of the box is a dream come true. This phone is really amazing.

If you don't have this app then you're not utilizing the Evo's full potential.

i dont really find layar that useful to be honest, but to each his own

do you have more info? like what is it? and where did you get it?

I'm glad you like Layer TC. I appreciate it's technology, but I really can't find a good use for it. Maybe I am doing something wrong. I'm going to try it from my hotel room on the 17th floor in Boston. Maybe it will show up some interesting things. If you have any tips maybe you can share them

I opened it up and clicked on the layered looking icon on the top left and it brought me to "featured" things. I then clicked on Free, because I'm cheap and clicked to install or use, not sure wat it does "Eat" and it loaded a camera view with a grid and as I panned around the room it displayed all the restuarants it could find in that direction. If you click on any of them it will give you the option to call them or navigate to them. It sure makes finding things a lot easier. I usually use "where" but I am going to give this a go for a while. Thanks again.

well..... imagine you are standing in the middle of downtown were hungry but didnt know where the nearest restaurants were. Fire up layar and hold it out in front of you like you were taking a picture, it will super impose (think google maps layers style) resaraunts in front of you on top of the images you see thru your screen. IMO, kewl app but not real useful for me.
