Re: What is the best way to back up your apps so you can flash a new rom?
i use titanium backup. its free on the market. its a little confusing at first, but i usually do BATCH > BACKUP ALL APPS + DATA.
i use MyBackup for scenes, sms, mms, etc. (also found in Market, but 30 day trial. get MyBackupPro for full version) my work exchange server handles contacts, calendar, and mail, but MyBackup should be able to handle that too.

titanium backup seems to be system settings, apps, and app data. personally, i only use it for apps and app data.
like i said, i use mybackup for everything else minus whatever my exchange server syncs. |

Wirelessly posted (TP2 Biznitch: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1-update1; en-us; Sprint APA9292KT Build/ERE27) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17)
My backup pro works great for me.

Titanium backup has batch functionality where you can restore stuff that missing, everything, and some other configurations. That being said, if you don't get the donate version, it will prompt you as if you launched the APK yourself. When you use donate version, it will just restore everything without prompts and give u a progress bar notification.

I tried using the My Backup Pro (paid version) and still had to say yes to each app. After I rooted it no longer asked me. I still prefer Titanium though since it has more option and it's the same price as Mybackup Pro ($4.99). Titanium needs root.
