Hmm. Just tried and it says that it can't add the promo code.
Edit: Had to be logged in to my account for it to work correctly.

Re: Handango's 'Free App Friday' is for Android as well!!
I just got an Evo last night, my first taste of Android, and installed a lot of apps from the Marketplace. I noticed a checkbox in the Settings, under Applications, that if checked, allows you to install non-Market apps. What is the process to install a non-market app? Do you get the file onto your phone, and then use a file explorer to go to it and double click it, similar to installing a cab?

Great, thanks. I just installed the State Farm software from that thread, using the barcode reader aimed at the computer screen. I can't believe how much I like Android, and how well it works. I love Android more than I like the Evo, hardware-wise.

Android is very easy to use and I think you will continue to be happy with it. I find an easy way to use the 'click and install' is to install an app named Dropbox (in the market, but if you use the link I give you we both get extra space) and when you download an APK to your PC you place it in the Dropbox folder and it syncs with your phone. When you want to download something it shows you the list but doesn't download the file until you select it to install. Fast and easy and works great for doc + pic files as well.
(sorry I got off on a tangent, but this is a very easy way to get a file on your phone without syncing or extracting your SD card.) https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTY0MjU0Mzk5 |
