Yes, you are right. RAM and ROM are are hardware, and the site I posted a link to can often times upgrade the internal hardware of your portable device to have more memory. However, they can not upgrade the internal memory of the Touch Vogue.

Now, as I said earlier, the memory you are referring to in the iPod is a different style of memory. It uses memory of the magnetic spinning disk type, similar to the kind used in computers and laptops but much smaller (a micro drive). It's essentially a hard disk that's between 1 and 2 inches long. The only way I would think it could be remotely possible is if you had a Nano (or a shuffle), even then I'm sure the flash memory in the nano or shuffle, is not compatible with the board in the vogue.
