Well you're allowed to make a "911 test call" but in some areas they want you to call a non-emergency number first. I just called the Sheriff and asked and they said just to call 911 and tell them right away it's a "test call" and you can ask about your info that shows up for your number.
Well my number and name comes up but no address from sprint attached, so I had them check the A-gps and they got my location really close (one house away).
