I use WM5torage to make my PPC into a USB Stick for youe card slot... then you can run CHKDSK on it directly... This also work on the Extended ROM if its unlocked...
I haven't found a program that will do this for the main memory or that will run CHKDSK natively on the PPC but I haven't looked too hard either...
