I tap the power button, I hold it, I hold it a long time, I try everything with that power button and I get no response. This does not occur each and every time however it occurs multiple times a day and always requires a soft reset. I can't for the life of me figure out why this keeps happening and its very annoying. Any ideas?
This used to happen frequently with older roms, but I have noticed it happening on WM6 as well. With the older roms, simply ejecting the SD card would usually trigger the phone to wake up. Doesn't seem to help with WM6 though.

Have you installed any programs other than what's built into the rom? Try disabling any Today screen plugins like the HTC Home software and see if that helps.
