Check out the verizon tutorial in the touch pro thread. *228/3 is no longer working. customers who used this option in the past could get the phone programmed and working on verizon but it did not appear to add the meid to the device database.

There has been little success so far getting verizon techs to add to the device database. Folks in the touch pro thread suggest going to a mall 3rd party vendor and have them add the meid, which the apparently can do, some for a fee. I'm not sure if this has worked or not for folks. Read up on that thread.
