Let's hope, shall we?"

I think the question for owners of Sprint's Touch Pro, what would it take to get a ROM upgrade with WinMo 6.5 on it?

The first idea that comes to my mind would be a petition, but I think Sprint and HTC's point of view needs to be considered as well.
The original Touch Pro was sold as a "Windows Mobile 6.1" device, is there any obligation for them to build a WinMo 6.5 ROM for the Touch Pro? My gut tells me no.

What if we, as in the consumer, were willing to pay for the upgrade? Would that even open the door for Sprint and HTC to consider building the 6.5 ROM?
If so, what would the price point need to be for both Sprint/HTC, and us the consumer to feel it is worth it?

I'm more curious what the community thinks about this.
Would a petition be worth it?
Would a petition with the option of consumer's buying said upgrade be worth it?

What are your thoughts?
if u just want a 6.5 rom there are plenty on these boards, but if u r willing to pay for a stock 6.5 rom then cool but im not...if they do gives us a upgrade then it will prolly be next year cuz 6.5 is a selling point for the new touch pro & diamond
