After flashing I need about 4 hours to install all my apps so I don't upgrade unless I'm pretty sure its going to be smoother, faster, etc. My GPS locks in 10 seconds - am I one of the lucky ones? . The whole kitchen approach scares me a bit, back on my PPC-6700 I once managed to create a frankenrom that locked up at the worst times.

I have 2 questions: 1. Should I bother upgrading at all. 2. If so, can anyone recommend a super clean ROM with VC, bored's GPS, latest Opera (don't know why I ask that as mini is my default browser).

Perhaps I shouldn't worry about using the kitchen as long as I keep it simple?

Thanks
I flash to flash period. I approach this as a learning experience, and the never-ending pursuit for perfection. Obviously you are happy with what you have, you got it the way you want it, why even bother changing?
