Because this replaces it. you leave picturemail installed, ant it will retrieve the mms's

Dont! hehe. Go to your sms inbox, hit Menu, Pics/Video Options, Servers, SprintMMSC, send limit.
If you chance it to larger than 500k, people with Verizon wong get your messages. If you are trying to send more pics in one message, change the photo Res to VGA in the preferances, and it will automatically resize them when sending.
