Re: Few questions before I buy one

OK...I know a few already got replied to, but I thought I would throw in my 2 cents:

Considering the only carrier with Omnia is Verizon, I can safely say you have to have a data plan (I think $29 is correct)

You do need the data plan, but wi-fi would work either way.

I just looked at TenGo, and I have never seen anything like that, but the Samsung TX9 gets great reviews. The Omnia comes with (I think) 4 different keyboard layout choices. I use the RESCO one, SPB has a good one, and PocketCM is free: http://pocketcm.com/keyboard2.php
There is also another free one posted by Adrynalyne found here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=60278

I have never had a problem with mine, in-fact, I work in a radiology department (AKA...lots of lead) and have a LOT more coverage than any of my past phones offered!!!!

Yes...I think PhoneAlarm does, PhoneSuite (SPB) does, and there is a new app being developed by Ageye (G-Profile) that profiles can be set in, so if it isn't yet, it may be a feature in the future: http://forum.ageye.de/index.php

I haven't used this feature, but most (and I think Word) apps on the Omnia are pretty finger-friendly (AKA finger scrolling), so you shouldn't need the stylus or scroll bar.

The charge is minimal with the sync cord, but it can be done. It is definetly a lot faster plugged in though.

I use Ageye's G-Alarm and there are skins for a large snooze button that pops up over most lock screens: http://forum.ageye.de/index.php (found there as well). The Omnia alarm does have a good snooze though, and I believe pretty reliable over the lock screen.

I hope I cleared up a couple points, if you have any other questions about the Omnia or apps, feel free to ask!!!
