I use VNC to connect to my Vista box with my HTC Titan.
VNC requires 2 parts. The server piece to run on your Vista PC and the client piece to run on your phone.
There are many differnt VNC products to choose from. After much testing of various brands here is what I found to work the best:
PC = RealVNC server running in legacy mode.
Phone = Mocha VNC client.
Neither are free but they work well....
