But overall and as others have said, your carrier should need to change the ESN but rather add it to thier database. If they need to know what the ESN is then they also can look under the battery.

i must admit i dont know much about all these terms but i am sure that i saw her going into these settings with the combination u stated. then she pointed on a few settings she had to change but it could not be edited for some reason. if am sure she said it had to be done by computer via a third party which had a charge...almost $25.....
a friend of mine also bought one of these phones and hooked it up to the provider with no problems. he wa running windows mobile 5... but i upgraded to 6... with the verizon file. am not sure if i did something wrong there.
