I expected that response, and almost mentioned it in the question. Of course, a BT earpiece would help, too <g>. The real issue is that I am hard of hearing, and constantly press harder and reposition the darn earpiece, making it doubly obnoxious to me.

I'm not knowledgable enough to understand how to change a dialer from the default to another ... YET ...; it sounds like a possiblity, and I'd appreciate suggestions on dialers to evaluate, and where to find them; searching this forum (and its parent) yielded little that helped ME.

AND, the register setting information would be useful.

(I'm not computer illiterate; indeed, in the 1970's and 80's I did a lot with 8080/Z80 assembler code and CP/M ... command prompts are more to my liking than Windows)
