Sprint ROM should work, but will have to be programmed again, their data provisioning information is different.
I recently helped a friend get his phone working, the proper method:
Run spbBackup and do a full backup
Retrieve the MSL code using any of the methods that are working for PPC6800
Enter the ## codes and write down EVERYTHING.
Extract the ROM for backup if possible
Flash the new Sprint Rom
Enter all the information you wrote down.
Not sure how to fix if you haven't followed this procedure, possibly one of their tech guys can re-provision the phone for you.
